Different material of board for table top or bookcase
Oct 31, 2017

Recently,  we launch new office system, workstation, meeting desk, wood cabinet, bookcase etc.

Lets's introduce the base material board to you.

We could use different board as follow:

Melamine board

Laminate board

Particle board

MDF board (Medium-density fibreboard)

The features of Melamine board: Waterproof, heatresistant, humidity, impact, durable, anti-scratch, resistance to staining, resistance to cracking, wear-resistant.

Laminated board is a multi-layered solid board that is finished with kraft papers or PE coated papers. Laminated board is highly resistant to moisture making it ideally suited for fruit and vegetable packaging, where products are packed wet or stored in damp conditions.

Chipboard, also known as particle board, is made from a variety of scrap wood materials including sawdust and paper. These materials are glued together with melamine resin, a mixture of melamine and formaldehyde which helps the chipboard hold its shape. The resulting product is very dense and extremely strong, and can in fact be superior to actual wood in some applications such as flooring, where high strength is desired. It is also used in products like furniture, to increase sturdiness and lower costs.

Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure.

MDF is generally denser than plywood. It is made up of separated fibres, but can be used as a building material similar in application to plywood. It is stronger and much denser than particle board.
